behind MS VPN ---------- I set up a demo MS VPN
from home (using ATT
broadband cable) to
office. In my office,
there are 1 W2k VPN
server (also a DC)
directly connected to the
Internet and only 1 W2k
pro (joined in the
domain) behind the VPN
server. The W2k pro and
the VPN LAN adapter use
private IP addresses. W2k
pro & VPN can see eath
other; home computer &
VPN can see eath other.
But home computer cannot
see office w2k pro in "My
Network Places) and even
cannot ping name and ip.
Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks in
advance.

I have a
similar problem. VPN
network configuration is
like this: - VPN
router is inside LAN,
behind 3Com LAN modem;
its intranet IP address
and external IP address
of the LAN modem are
known; - VPN remote
client has his own IP
address (from ISP) and
tries to reach VPN
router. But when I try
to connect VPN
router/server, I get
error messages: 678 or
679: There is no answer,
Cann't detect carrier.
How to make this
connection: VPN
client - INTERNET -
(through LANmodem) VPN
server?
There is
one more problem.
Input/output filters
(1723, 47): when I set
them on my VPN router, I
cann't reach any computer
in my LAN network,
Internet too. If anyone
could help me about
these, please, do
that!
