I
(try to) configure the
VPN in our office. My
little test lab is like
this: - VPN server
(Win2000) is behind 3Com
LANmodem; with known
IP WAN address and
internal static IP
address; - Remote
Client (Win2000) is out
of the LAN but connected
on the Internet through
the ordinanary D/A modem.
Both the server and
client have set all
authentication
parameters.
BUT,
when I try to establish
VPN connection (from
remote client to VPN
server) I always get the
message error 628. I've
tested the phone line -
OK, modem settings - OK,
authentication - OK, ping
works... Maybe it's a
problem with our
LANmodem. What else
could be wrong? Do you
have any
idea?
Thank you in
advance! | alma Member since: 2002-09-20 03:13:17 | posted: 2002-10-10 00:50:15 Solution ---------- I answered my own
question (Error
628). Here is the
problem. If you have
Win2000Server for VPN
client just STOP or
DISABLE RRAS on it.
Because, you have the
situation of VPN
connection
Router-to-Router even you
haven't plan that.
Now, I have
another problem: new
error message, 721. :)
So, I have to fight with
that! Wish me
luck!
