Help me to build a VPN

Well, i am new in IT
field, i am trying to
make a presentation of
VPN project for my
university, i don't know
much about VPN, So kindly
help me to know about VPN
by sending any kind of
information concerning to
build a small
VPN.
Like what devices
i will need and what
software i will need. VPN
diagram etc.by

Building a VPN
----------
I would recommend
checking out our VPN
primers and guides and
then coming back with a
few specific questions.
Most of the information
is written about in very
basic terms.
Specifically, I would
recommend reading the
HowStuffWorks guide to
VPN under our VPN primer
section.
