Linksys VPN setup
----------
I recently purchased a Linksys VPN router and set it up in my office.

I am attempting to connect from my home PC to our office LAN. I have followed the documentation exactly, but get error 800- unable to establish VPN connection.

I don't think the request is even finding the router to authenticate.

Does anyone know if I need additional or software to complete the connection?

XP pro on this end with dynamic IP and DSL service. Other end is fixed IP and also DSL.

Thanks,
Bo b

Linksys Example
----------
Hi Bob,

what Linksys device do you have exactly?
They differ slightly in how2 setup.

For example: The address of the VPN Client must belong to the remote
LAN if you use a Linksys BEFV41. It must not belong to the remote LAN if you use a Linksys RV082

Thanks for the reply.

I am using a Linksys WRV54G at the office. My TCP/IP is set to obtain the address automatically and my workgroup is the same at home as the office.

All of the protocol passthroughs are enabled om my home router.
