Linksys WRT54GS VPN

I have a linksys WRT54GS
router that has VPN
capabilities and a
broadband connection. I
have laptop running
Windows 2000 and a
dial-up connection. Am I
correct in assuming that
I can create a "New
Connection" on the
Windows 2000 laptop, dial
into my ISP, and then
connect to my router
using the IP address? I
am very interest in
having access to my home
LAN but trully don't know
where to start. Any help
would be greatly
appreciated.
