I have
been scouring the
internet for an answer to
my question, but have not
found one
yet.
Next year I
will be doing graduate
work and I wish to be
able to access my home
network (2 desktops
computers, and a shared
external hard drive) so I
can work on my files
remotely, from my laptop.
I would do this over the
internet, from
school.
So, I have
a couple
questions:
Can a
person make a small VPN
using a consumer
router/ap like Linksys or
Netgear?
And, do I
need a dedicated server,
or does a router let me
connect to the network
remotely.
One
more...are there any good
books or articles on the
internet that can help a
network layman with this.
I have experience setting
up home networks, but not
with VPN.
Any help
received would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank
you, Caleb Bassett | AlexeyN Member since: 2006-04-20 10:10:19 | posted: 2006-04-20 10:16:37 vpn ---------- Hi Caleb,
