set up a VPN from my
office to my home
computer. At the office
the network consists of a
Sisco 675 DSL modem
plugged into a switch.
From there, there are 3
WinXP machines and 1
WIN98 machine running a
P2P setup. DHCP server is
enabled on the DSL modem.
I've got a Cable internet
connection and WinXP at
home. Would it work to
use the VPN server setup
through WinXP, and do
only that? What are the
advantages/disadvantages
of setting up a Router
that has VPN
capabilities? With (or
without) a VPN router
would more than one
person be able to
"tunnel" into our network
at the same time (on a
weekend both a co-worker
and I at the same time)?
Which would be easier to
set up & maintain? Any
info would be
appreciated.
