VPN Connection Problem
----------
I am unable to connect to my company's VPN. When I attempt to logon to the VPN from my XP workstation at home, I get a message stating that I have connected to the VPN successfully. Afterwards, I bring up the Internet Explorer browser and enter the office router's IP address and it ask for the router username and password. Unfortunately that is as far as I get. I also tried pinging the Windows 2003 fileserver once the connection was established, but it was unsuccessful.

I would basically like to access my company's Windows 2003 fileserver from home. I would also like to connect to our satellite office from my workstation at work. I have provided the specs of the environment below:

My office Environment:

Firew all VPN (FVS318-Netgear)
Inter net Server (Linux-Mandrake 10.0 kernel 2.6.3-7)
File server (Windows Server 2003)
DSL Modem( Alcatel 1000 ADSL modem)
Bandwidth (384 upload & 780 download)
VPN Software (NETGEAR VPN05L-VPN CLIENT SOFTWARE 5 NTG-VPN05L)

Home Environment:

Opera ting System (XP Professional)
FIOS
Bandwidth( 1.5 download)

VPN connection through Comcast
----------
I lose internet connection in general as soon as I connect through VPN. If VPN is disconnected, all internet access is restored. I have tried connection with the same laptop, VPN software/version at other places and other netwotk providers and everything is fine. Even my neighbor can use my Comcast connection with his own laptop/VPN. Comcast says that they do not support VPN and blame it on VPN software. My work IT tries it with their DSL connection and works and blames the problem on Comcast. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME?
