VPN Performance with My
Documents Redirection

Hello All:
Our
remote users have
reported very slow
performance with using
the VPN and mapped
drives. After
researching, I discovered
that the My Documents
Redirection seems to be
the culprit.
On
a PC connecting to the
same network, the
response times were ~ 30
seconds to open an Excel
file on a mapped drive.
On a laptop connecting to
the same network with my
documents redirection
enabled, the response
times were ~ 4 minutes to
open the same
file.
I'm
wondering if anyone else
has experienced this
issue. I googled it but
only found administrators
who really like this
capability. I didn't
find anything about the
user experience. |
