trying to setup a VPN on
our network. We have a
ADSL Router/Modem through
Verizon. I have a set of
5 public IP adress's to
use for whatever I
choose. The way its
config is as
follows: Public
LAN Router
IP:71.126.XXX.226 Subn
et
Mask:255.255.255.248 D
efault
Gateway:71.126.xxx.1 P
rivate LAN Router
IP:192.168.1.1 Subnet
Mask:255.255.255.0
I have 2 NIC's is the
server and its configured
as follows: IP
Address:192.168.1.9 Su
bnet
Mask:255.255.255.0 Def
ault
Gateway:192.168.1.1 Now what I want is to
use the 2nd NIC for the
VPN using one of my
public IP address. I have
setup the IC with the
following IP
config. IP:
71.126.XXX.227 Subnet
Mask:255.255.255.248 D
efault
Gateway:71.126.XXX.226
I Have verified that
this config will work by
setting it up on a
workstation. It work's. I
can ping the IP from
outside the network, and
I can access the
Internet. But when I try
to ping the address when
its configured on the
server it ties out. I
need some help. Verizon
was no help at all. Once
they confirmed the IP
address's would work that
as far as they would
help. Can anyone give
some kind of idea of what
to do to get this
working. I am using
Windows Server 2003 with
XP Pro
workstaions. T
