Problem WAN ---------- I had a connection from
my xp workstation VPNing
into my Server 2003
however they are on the
same LAN. I did this for
testing. I am now
outside that LAN and
cannot connect into the
server on a XP
workstation with a VPN
connection I created. I
know that I did not
change any settings on
either LAN in the
routers; they both show
that the VPN protocols
are enabled by default.
(Linksys routers). I did
not enable or disable any
ports. I cannot even ping
the LAN IP address in
question. This seems to
be a problem from the
router? I am running
Comcast on the network
with the server and
verizon on the other LAN.
I have gone and bridged
the modem and installed a
Linksys router allready.
I am just wondering why I
could do things on my LAN
like SSH into this
workstation outside the
LAN or FTP or SFTP. I
cannot do any of this
from the verizon LAN (the
LAN without the server) I
am running the server as
a DHCP, DNS, Active
Directory server. I have
tried to ping the LAN IP
address with no luck.
Where do I begin? I also
know that I do not have a
IPsec certificate should
I install one or do I
need one for a VPN
connection to work
outside the LAN? |
