VPN servers across the
globe to cut down on
tunnel traffic distance.
We have a "bolt-on" that
I created for our users
to connect to the closest
(as reported by connect
times) server. As our
users travel, they will
always connect to the
closest server with the
remaining servers
configured as backups.
We're using Cisco's VPN
Client with my
bolt-on.
My
question is... As the
administrator of such a
network, is my (our)
situation unique? Are
there others that have a
use for this type of bolt
on?
As the product
has progressed, It has
many other features built
in like disabling the XP
firewall and other
features... but my main
question is are there
many (or any) people that
want their users to
connect to the closest
VPN server or just to the
preconfigured server for
that user.
Thanks. |
