connection ---------- Hi, we are using Open VPN
for connecting our ATMs
to the Server it is 3 or
4 years that we are using
your software to make VPN
connection without any
problem but now with the
new version of ATM’s
software we have problem
in VPN connection. The
ATM’s software which we
are installing has 3
parts, during the
installation of first 2
parts the Open VPN works
normally but when we
install the last part
problems starts with Open
VPN software. After the
last part installation
the Open VPN loses its
control on network
adapters. In normal
mode after installation
of Open VPN the program
starts managing the
network adapter which is
installed in the PC. The
program Disables/Enables
the network adapter
automatically after ATM
startup or when the
network connection
becomes down. In our case
the Open VPN cannot
manage the network
adapter and it loses its
control on adapter but
when we manually
Disables/Enables the
Network adapter the VPN
connection starts working
normally in this case we
should Disables/Enables
the Network adapter
manually on every restart
or connection lost. I
want to mention that we
do not have such a
problem with older
versions of Wincor
Nixdorf software’s.
After the restart of the
PC with copying the
Router.exe in Start up,
the VPN connection
establishes automatically
without any problem till
this stage everything is
ok but when we lose
connection to the server
the Router.exe cannot
reconnect and establish
new connection, for
solving this problem as I
mentioned above we
manually disable/enable
the network adapters and
Router.exe starts VPN
connection. I think some
settings in windows
registry do not let Open
VPN to manage the network
adapters after
installation of ATM’s
software. I have checked
services and policy
rights in windows XP but
could not find anything
which can help us. I
want to mention that we
have installed windows XP
both in admin and non
admin environments.
