XP Pro machine connected
to the internet throu an
alcatel adsl (where in
Australia) modem,and on a
network, we need to
connect to the XP machine
from a Windows 98 machine
also on a network, over
the internet for database
access and
updating/backup of data.
Can you tell me what you
need to know about our
set-up so that we can set
up a VPN to do the
above?. | kattfish Member since: 2002-04-23 23:23:32 | posted: 2002-04-23 23:43:20 Possible Solution ---------- Hello,
You could
look at software to
software tunnels, however
these are slow and will
tax computers and use a
lower level of security.
(Aggressive mode). I
would suggest you going
out and purchasing two
NetScreen's. Probably a
5xp will do just fine.
They're simple to
configure and very
powerful/flexible/afforda
ble. |
