sharing printer on lan to lan vpn
----------
I have two lans connected by vpn, the first one is set to network 10.3.1.0 subnet 255.255.255.0 and the 2nd one is set to 10.3.2.0 subnet 255.255.255.0

I want to be able to print from a windows xp machine on the 1st lan to a printer connected to another windows xp machine on the 2nd lan.

I can ping the ip addresses of any of the computers on either lan, but after that I am lost. Any help?

Printer Sharing - VPN
----------
Are you familiar with Printer sharing, or is it only the VPN Printer sharing that is the problem here, I m not sure,,,but here goes.

If you goto the PC where the printer is connected to, right click on it and share it out as say "PRINT01" then you should be able to get to it from your other PC.

Now logon to your other PC, the remote one, and goto STRAT, RUN, then type in the following:

\\10.3. 1.x\PRINT01

(where "x" is the IP of the PC with the Printer attached and shared)

It should then come up with, "The printer onthe remote PC is not installed on your PC, would you like to install it now, say YES and it will install the remote printer share onto your machine.

best of luck....
